RallyKart Time Trials

RallyKart Pitstop
Can you maintain control of this mean machine over our rugged off-road course, pitting your wits against the clock and knowing that every mistake could cost you vital seconds? After each driver’s race laps, the red flag is out. As he stops in the pit area your team releases him from the kart. The next driver leaps into the hot seat, the others strap him in and jump clear, and away he goes. The clock only stops when the last team member has competed his laps and is back with the rest of the team in the safety zone

Sample TeamBuild Activities

Making Bacon - may optionally be followed by Reliant Surprise
This pile of bits actually makes a Reliant Robin, when assembled in the right way and in the correct sequence. But your team will be timed while you work on it; and it has to be driveable when you've finished with it!

Tied up in Knots
designed to be followed by Jungle Run or Blindfold Driving

You will need the vehicle to drive the next course, but it’s tied up with thick, heavy rope! Both ends of the rope are fixed, so the only way to free it is to loosen the knots and drive the vehicle through the ensuing loops. But which loop first, and which way should you go through it? The whole team will need to work together, driving, loosening knots, and puzzling out the right approach.

Tied up in knots

Assembly Puzzle -
designed to be followed by the Quad Obstacle Course

The Quad Obstacle Course is lying in pieces at the side of the field, and you need to assemble it before you can drive it. The problem is that the plan of the course, and diagrams for each obstacle, are in the Lodge, and cannot be moved. One member of your team must stay in the Lodge, and relay instructions to the others in the field via radio. Who would be best at deciphering the plans, and communicating the information? Which members of the team should assemble the obstacles, and who should move them to the correct places on the course? You must decide, and all the time, the clock’s ticking!

Construct-a-Ferry
designed to be followed by RallyKart Pitstop or Time Trials

(only in warm weather - otherwise, a RallyKart Hunt will be substituted) Here is the RallyKart, and there is the course: simply get one to the other. Oh dear, there’s a small lake in the way! If the whole team works together, they will be able to use that pile of junk to construct a method of transporting the Kart across the water without getting wet. Or will they? Showers and spare full-suit overalls available for those that don’t make it!

Sample Group Enterprise and MindSkills Activities

Group Enterprise Tasks take place out of doors, and all present an element of physical and/or mental challenge. MindSkills Tasks take place indoors, and challenge perceptions or thinking patterns through an interesting and engaging activity.

Whilst we ensure that each team completes the activity within the allotted time, with assistance if necessary, the objective is sufficiently challenging or the time limited, so that a real sense of achievement is felt when the aim is reached. The tight scheduling also ensures that each member of the team is fully involved throughout the activity.

Because a detailed description of these activities would confer an unfair advantage on those participants who had seen them in advance, the following are intentionally fairly vague. Should you wish to include some of these activities in your event, we recommend discussing your desired outcomes with a member of our staff, who will then suggest a programme of activities to meet them.

Strange Beliefs
How accurate is your assessment of the hidden agenda behind basic social interactions? Test and improve your performance in this key area during this hilarious and unusual activity

Chief of Police
Does your thinking follow well-worn ruts that have taken you time and time again to the logical destination? Or can you adopt the inspirational thinking style that will lead to promotion?

Egg Launch
Can you use a pile of junk and a lot of ingenuity to make a machine that will launch an egg through the air? And can your team's construction make your projectile travel farther than any other team's?

The Egg Launch

Chaos
Each group must construct a large pyramid of coloured discs. These must be collected from a drop zone, transported to the building zone, and then assembled in the correct sequence. Each group elects a controller for each zone, and the other participants are carriers, and are blindfolded. The name is very apt, and creating order demands a high level of communication

Snoopy’s House
You must erect Snoopy’s House in the marsh. However, goggles must be worn inside the marsh to protect your eyes from the noxious vapours, and these limit vision considerably. The only team members with a clear view of the parts to assemble and the construction area are those who are outside the marsh, and unable to reach the parts. They must therefore direct operations.

Zin Obelisk
The team must solve the riddle of the Zin Obelisk. Each delegate has several unique “clues” that only they can see. Apart, they seem like nonsense, but put together the team can reach the solution.

Minefield
The team must act out a scenario where they are relief workers transporting life-saving serum across a minefield. There are safe islands in the minefield, and planks which may be used to bridge between them. Along the way, the leaky container of serum may be topped up using bottles dropped in the minefield by previous, unsuccessful, workers
