Blind Fold Driving

Blind Fold DrivingAnother activity where communication is paramount! Can you direct a blindfolded colleague around a twisty, hilly section of terrain?

Main Briefing

When you arrive you will sign a safety disclaimer and will be given name badges and score cards (if appropriate). In this briefing you will be given an overview of the activities which you have chosen and general site safety.

If score cards are given out you need to keep these with you or the instructor may have a group score card depending on the group size. This is like your driving licence, points on this licence are essentially like points on your driving licence, the less points that you have the better you are doing. The points are given for missed coned gates and knocking over cones, these points are given by the instructor.

Vehicle Briefing

Once you get to the vehicle you will have a short informative briefing about the vehicle.

The instructor will go through the controls of the vehicle and the various safety features. Spectators and people waiting for their turn, will be given a safe area to view the activity from.

Course Description

The course is made up of several pairs of cones to create gates for you to drive through. The object of this activity is to get your team mate around the course without knocking over any cones or missing any gates.

One of your team will get into the back of our kia jeep and one other team mate will take position in the drivers seat. once the instructor has made sure that you are happy with the controls you will be asked to check that the blindfold fits and that you can not see anything.

After putting the vehicle in gear, it is over to your team mate to give directions, however, this is not as easy as it sounds.

Next we have another cross log which you would tackle the same as the first one.

Communication is the key here! We have not made this activity easy for you!

There are various rules that we may engage for your event for example; We may rule out the words left and right but might allow you to use words that begin with L&R however, on other occasions we may not allow use of words beginning with L&R, this is where it becomes tricky!

Other rules that we may change are reverse blindfold driving, themed word, or no words at all.

If you do not have a drivers licence do not fear! Our very patient and experienced instructors will be there in the passengers seat to help you!
